Pranks
Fake Chat Prank App
Looking for a fun fake chat prank? FauxChat lets you script a believable conversation, with a celebrity "texting" you, a fake group chat about a surprise, or a pet that suddenly learned to type, and play it back on your phone like it is happening live.
Prank ideas to get you started
Show a friend a "chat" with their favourite artist, stage a dramatic conversation with your cat, invent a group chat planning a ridiculous holiday, or create a chat from the future. The best pranks are obviously silly once revealed.
Make it convincing
Add a profile photo, use realistic delays between replies, drop in a missed call or a deleted message, and the conversation feels live when your friend is looking over your shoulder.
Keep it friendly
Pranks should end with everyone laughing. Do not use fake chats to bully people, spread rumours, scam anyone or pretend to be someone in a way that could cause harm.
How it works
- Think of a harmless, funny scenario.
- Create the contact and give it a convincing photo.
- Write the chat with realistic timing.
- Press play and hand your friend the phone.

Frequently asked questions
Is a fake chat prank safe?
FauxChat never sends real messages, so nobody outside your phone is contacted. Keep pranks lighthearted and reveal them quickly.

Yes. You can send a share link so a friend can open and play the chat in their own FauxChat app.
